About Ludo.now

Ludo.now is a free place to play the board game you grew up with, right in your browser. No download, no signup, and no waiting. Open the page and you are rolling the die in seconds. Our mission is simple: keep classic Ludo fast, fair, and free for everyone, on any device.

What Ludo.now is

We are a small team that grew up arguing over Ludo boards and wanted a version that respects your time. Every game here runs in your web browser, so there is nothing to install and nothing to update. You can start with Classic Ludo, the race most people picture when they hear the word "Ludo", or jump straight into Quick Ludo or Pachisi. It is all free, and it always will be.

What makes us different

A lot of Ludo sites and apps feel cluttered and slow. We built ours to feel clean and quick.

  • Real-time multiplayer. Race a friend on the exact same dice with live progress bars in our multiplayer rooms.
  • 8 full games. From Classic and Quick to Pachisi, Parcheesi, Uckers, Mensch ärgere Dich nicht and Fia, every major variant is here.
  • A daily challenge. One seeded dice sequence per day, the same for everyone, so you can compare and build a streak.
  • A clean, calm feel. No pop-ups fighting for your attention and no clutter between you and the board.

How the games work

We care about getting the details right. Every game's dice come from a fair, seeded generator, which means the rolls are random but repeatable. That is what lets two players share the same multiplayer dice or the same daily challenge. Our rules follow the traditional versions of each variant, and you can read them in plain English on the rules hub.

Your stats, streaks, and preferences are saved right in your browser, so you can play as a guest and still keep your progress. Want to sync across devices and appear on the leaderboards? Create a free account. It is optional, and you never need one just to play.

Who it is for

Ludo.now is for anyone who likes a good board game. Maybe you want a quiet five minutes with a round of Quick Ludo. Maybe you love the defensive planning of Pachisi, where twelve castles reward patience. Maybe you just want to beat a friend head-to-head. Beginners can learn the ropes on the rules pages, and long-time players can chase faster times and cleaner wins. There is room for both.

Our standards

We hold ourselves to a few simple promises:

  • Accurate rules. Each game follows its traditional rules, so what you learn here carries over to a real board.
  • Honest dice. Every roll comes from a fair seeded generator - and the daily challenge proves it, because everyone gets the same sequence.
  • Privacy-respecting. We keep data collection light and explain exactly what we store in our privacy policy.
