Privacy Policy

Ludo.now ("we", "us") is a free online game site. We collect as little personal data as we can while still making the games work. This page explains exactly what we store and why.

What we collect if you just play

  • Nothing personal. You can play every game without an account. Your statistics, streaks, saved games and settings are stored in your own browser (localStorage) and never leave your device unless you sign in.
  • Server logs. Like nearly every website, our servers keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, browser type, requested page) for security and debugging. They are rotated and not used for advertising.
  • Leaderboard entries. If you submit a win as a guest, we store the display name you chose, the game, your time, rolls and score. Pick any name you like - it does not have to identify you.
  • Ratings. Star ratings from signed-out visitors are keyed to a one-way hash of your IP address, so we can prevent duplicate votes without storing the address itself.

What we collect if you create an account

  • Email address and username. Used to sign you in and show your name on leaderboards.
  • Google sign-in. If you use "Continue with Google", Google tells us your email address and name. We do not receive your password and we cannot post or read anything on your Google account.
  • Game records. Your per-game statistics (games played, won, best times) sync to your account so they follow you across devices.

Cookies

We use a single first-party session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We set no advertising or third-party tracking cookies. See the cookie policy for details.

Multiplayer and chat

Multiplayer rooms are private to whoever has the room code and expire automatically after a few hours of inactivity. Chat messages are relayed live to the other player and are not stored after the room expires. A record of finished matches (display names, game, result, duration) is kept for history.

What we never do

  • We never sell or rent your data to anyone.
  • We never send marketing email. Account email is used for sign-in only.
  • We never load third-party ad networks or social trackers on game pages.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete the data connected to your account at any time - just use the contact form from the email address on the account. Deleting your browser's site data removes all guest statistics instantly, because they only ever lived on your device.

Children

Ludo.now is a general-audience game site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; playing requires no account and no personal details.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
